"Sweet lost lab was reunited with her family the same day! "
Sissy
"This site is the greatest. I lost my pekingese in dec09 while on vacation and he was found by someone who cared for him like their own dog for almost 2 weeks before seeing my posting. Thanks "
Mike
"MacTavish is home safe and sound. He found a way out under the house and was found by Mary running on Princeton. She was concerned for his safety and she took him in. She then started calling around and posting ads. Maureen, who lost (and has since been reunited with) her Westie heard from Mary and put her in touch with us. He's home and we've secured the area where he managed to tunnel under the house. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts, concerns, and efforts."

"Pepper is Back Home!"
"Harry is Home"
"Thank you so much for your help.
I now believe we definitely made the right decision by moving to winter park. The people here are the best of anywhere I have ever lived."
"Never Give Up!"
"Pepper is happy to be home and with her family. You have our permission to link to our video, and tell everyone to never ever give up!"
Frank
"Chris"
"The people who found our cat and posted him even bought toys for him!" "Thanks for the great service!".
"20 minutes later"
20 minutes after I found a dog and posted it to your site I started posting the automatic fliers and the owner came right up to me - she had been looking for her dog and was a mess. Thanks winter park lost pets for this cool interactive site. It rocks.
I still miss the dog.He was really cool.
"We Love Lucy"
On July Fourth, 2009, neighborhood fireworks frightened Lucy, a diminutive Yorkshire terrier. Lucy took no time in digging under her backyard fence, and in the blink of an eye she was gone. Her family immediately posted flyers. Neighbors helped post more flyers. Dog lovers volunteered to post even more flyers and distribute flyers to local business establishments. In total, more than 1,000 flyers were distributed. And as days turned to weeks, the campaign to find Lucy never stopped. Finally, an employee of a Winter Park Village restaurant where a flyer was dropped off recognized Lucy as the dog her friend had picked up near Phelps Avenue weeks before. On August Fourth, one month to the day after Lucy disappeared, she was reunited with her family.
Lessons Learned: The person who found Lucy lived several miles from Winter Park and it appeared that they intended to keep her. Flyers helped but we learned there was no general place to post a lost/found dog flyer in Winter Park. There also was a need to post this information that could reach outside the city limits. An idea became a mission with Lucy as the catalyst for the creation of WinterParkLostpets.com
"Our Emmy Award"
Thanksgiving should be a time of celebration, but for a Tampa family visiting relatives in Winter Park, it became a chase for their longhaired Dachshund, Emmy, who saw a photo opportunity as an invitation to go exploring. Emmy was brushed by a car while darting across Palmer Avenue. Frightened and disoriented, she continued to run and the chase turned into a desperate hunt to find her. Days passed and the family had to return to Tampa. But caring and concerned local Winter Park residents continued to search for Emmy and post flyers. Municipal workers, landscapers, delivery people, anyone walking a dog, and construction workers in the area were asked to be on the lookout for Emmy. More than a week after she disappeared, Emmy was found at a residential construction site, dehydrated but otherwise in good condition.
Lessons learned: Frightened and/or injured dogs can seek shelter in enclosed areas. Emmy was found under a deck, deep in the back. When looking for a lost dog, simply calling its name may not be enough. At that time, luck prevailed and we saw the community come together to find Emmy. We began to realize we needed a way to bring people together quickly with one point of reference. Emmy gave us the opportunity to look at how to quickly get information to others to begin a search when the first few hours are critical.
