Cofounded by Shelley Heistand and Judy Charuhas, WinterParkLostPets.com answers a need in the community to help reunite lost and found pets with their owners. Of course, the pets themselves do not have words. We must be their voice. We must speak on their behalf and tell the community, “I am lost. Help me get home.”

Because of you, their voice is being heard. They are finding their way back home. One by one. By signing up for FREE e-mail alerts and telling your friends, neighbors, petsitters (oh heck just everyone!) we can spread the word when a pet is lost or found in our area. Those pets need all the help they can get!

On our site you can list a lost or found pet, immediately download and print a flyer, follow the checklists in either the lost or found section, and use these resources to act fast. Once posted an e-mail alerts goes out immediately to get those pets reunited. Posts are also sent out via our Facebook page and Twitter.

Our Pet Resources section has articles on pet care and training, general information including tips and some fun stuff. The excellent Winter Park Veterinarians that take care of us are listed as well.  The Paws To Help section lists organizations that help pets that our owners want you to know about. Be sure to check the resource section for rescue groups for almost every type of animal in the city of Winter Park and the list continues to grow. The news section tells you what we are up to and also lists offers exclusive to WPLP.Our Pet Safety section offers pet and people safety information and there is also a  safety tips section and recall  section that lists up to the minute pet related recalls.

Check out our Happy Tails section and read about our success stories, as our list of Reunited Pets continues to grow, you'll want to read our behind the scenes success stories.

Our scrolling banner lists pet related businesses who offer exclusive deals to pets, public services and shelters who recognize our hard work and who care about our mission. We showcase them and thank them.

Here on the home page and on additional pages, our events calendar lists pet related events in our area. And, our "Latest Tweet" keeps you updated on reunited pets or breaking news.

Please visit often but most importantly make sure everyone you know signs up for e-mail alerts (they are FREE) because you never know when a pet is lost or found.

Each pet on our lost and found pages has a story. Please help us give them a happy ending.
